'Innovation continues and a new crop of Israeli tech startups are on their way up'
Looking for a startup to invest your savings in? Interested in the latest cutting-edge technological developments? Forbes magazine has compiled a list of 25 Israeli tech statrtups that aim to "transform healthcare, entertainment, finance, media and a myriad of other industries" and bring the future a little bit closer.
Here are the top five:
Zuta Labs
In their Kickstarter, which raised more than half a million dollars, Zuta Labs described their product as "a printer that goes where you go & prints from your phone on any size page!"
This tiny 4-inch by 4.5-inch pocket mobile printer will be available from January 2015.
Kaltura
"Video Technology that Transforms the Way People Entertain, Work, and Learn" is Kaltura's specialty, and the company has secured $116 million of funding for its development.
SaaS platform is an open source online video platform, which is hailed in the industry as “highly flexible” and “future-proof.”
According to sources, Kaltura could likely be one of the next billion-dollar exits or major tech IPOs.
Yevvo
Befitting its slogan "Life is Live, " Yevvo app, co-founded and chaired by Ben Rubin, allows users to share a live video stream with their followers at any time. In February 2014, Yevvo has secured an impressive $3.7 million Series A round and has continued to spread since then.
Yotpo
Yotpo developed an online customer review platform. It is a plug-and-play service that includes several standard features, such as a translator and moderation tools "but it is also flexible enough that it can be made to fit seamlessly with the aesthetic of any website."
The founders, Tomer Tagarin (CEO) and Omri Cohen (CTO) closed an A round worth almost $11 million in January.
MyPermissions
"MyPermissions is a dashboard that scans for all apps and web apps that have access to your information and shows you the results in one place. From there, you can get rid of apps you consider intrusive, " Forbes contributor Ilya Pozin writes.
